The Organizer in Microsoft Project 2010 allows you to copy customised views, reports, tables, filters, calendars, fields and groups from one project template to another.
A particularly useful application of the Organizer function is where you want to copy calendar exceptions from a project to the Global template in project.
For example, you have set up project X for your company and have entered all the
bank holidays for the next five years in the project calendar. You have also entered
the company’s working times and shut down times over Christmas. When you come to

To open the Organizer click the File tab, then Info and then click the Organizer button.
Now click on the Calendar tab in the Organizer dialogue box
To copy your calendar settings in your current project to the Global template, select the Standard calendar in the right hand box and then click the <<Copy button.
You will need to confirm that you want to overwrite the Standard calendar in the Global template.
